About MG Hector

Launched in 2019 as the ‘internet of cars’, the MG Hector was rather quick to attract many with the value proposition it offered. Thanks to its bigger size, longer features list and the UK connection that was reinstated through roping in Benedict Cumberbatch as the brand ambassador. Moreover, the British ambiance of the dealerships was yet another highlight.

In January 2021, little more than a year after the Hector was first introduced, the carmaker came up with a facelift that brought in a handful of updates for the exterior along with some new features for the cabin. Moreover, even the XL-size infotainment screen was updated with support for ‘Hinglish’ voice commands. Finally, in February 2021, the petrol engine option got a CVT option. Currently, this mid-size SUV is priced from approx. Rs 13.5 – 20 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes on to rival a host of models including Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Tata Harrier.
