Kawasaki unveiled the updated model in Japan, and the 2022 ZX-25R SE will be on sale for the global market.
For 2022, the ZX-25R gets a new colour scheme called Twilight Blue. The mechanically same quarter-litre motorcycle was unveiled in Japan, and it will be sold globally. There?s no confirmation as of yet if it will be sold here in India.
The Ninja ZX-R SE model comes equipped with features like an LED headlight and tail light, KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), KQS( Kawasaki Quick Shifter) with auto-blipper, a USB charging port, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Mechanically, the Ninja ZX-25R continues to draw its power from the renowned inline-four engine, a 249 cc engine that produces 51 Ps@15,500 rpm and 22.9nm of torque@14,500 rpm. In terms of performance, the ZX-25R can accelerate 0-100 kmph in less than 6 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 187 kmph.
There are two power modes available to access this power ? high and low. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual with slipper-clutch assist and auto-blipper. Braking duties are handled by 310 mm semi-floating single disc at the front, and 220mm single disc at the rear, along with dual-channel ABS.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R SE also uses a Trellis high tensile steel frame, and fully equipped, it weighs182 kgs. The body suspends on 37 mm Upside-Down front fork suspension at the front, and an adjustable mono-shock, with spring preload adjustability. Design-wise, the fairing and front section of the motorcycle is based on the Kawasaki ZX-6R.
Prices for the updated 2022 ZX-25R start from Yen 9,35,000 (Rs. 6.10 lakh) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The model is slated for launch on February 1st, 2022.
