The new 2020 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 105 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 138 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. The base Sigma variant of the Ciaz comes mated to 5-speed manual gearbox only. However, the top-spec trims get a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox too.Next, we have the Toyota Yaris here. It is also powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 106 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 140 Nm of torque at 4200 RPM. The base J-optional variant of the Yaris BS6 comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 7-step CVT.

The new facelifted Hyundai Verna is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 115 PS of power at 6300 RPM and 144 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The base E variant of the Verna comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Lastly, we have the Skoda Rapid and the Volkswagen Vento. Both of them are powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This TSI motor churns out 110 PS of power at 5000-5500 RPM and 175 Nm of torque between 1750-4000 RPM. The base Rapid Rider and the Vento Trendline comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. However, the top-spec trims of these sedans also get a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
