For Tata Motors, the Punch has been a successful product. The brand has rolled out its 1,00,00th unit from the assembly line in Pune, Maharashtra. With this, the Punch reached a production milestone of one lakh units. Since its 2021 launch, The Punch has reached this milestone in just 11 months. The top five qualities that made the Tata Punch the perfect micro-SUV in India are listed below.

Decent Fuel Efficient Engine

The 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Tata Punch produces a decent 85 bhp of power and 113 Nm of maximum torque. A 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT gearbox are included with the engine. For the MT transmission and for the AMT variant, the Punch is claimed to give a mileage of 18.97 km/l and 18.82 km/l, respectively.

Tata has introduced the Punch in a variety of variants to accommodate different types of buyers. There are four different versions of the Punch: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Each SUV variant has a good number of features, and depending on how much money you want to spend, you can choose from these variants. Tata has also introduced a unique Kaziranga edition with more features and a different colour choice.

Tata Punch is the brand's second product based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture. The Punch has received GNCAP safety ratings of 5 stars for adult protection and 4 stars for kid protection. Among other safety features, it has dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child mounts, rear sensors with parking camera, front fog lamps with cornering lamps, and more.


Tata Punch is a well priced micro-SUV, it comes with a starting price of Rs 5.92 lakh (ex-showroom) and the price goes up to Rs 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
